FUN TO BE FIT SHIRTS: 

Fun to Be Fit is on May 27. If you would like to purchase a shirt, please send in your order form and payment ASAP. All students will be participating in the event, ordering a shirt is optional.

READING: 

This week our class will be reading stories and learning about our country’s national symbols, monuments, and national parks, such as the American flag, the White House, and the Grand Canyon.

MATH: 

This week we will work on leveling using a pan balance to determine which objects weight more, less, and equal.  We will also be taking surveys, collecting survey data, and representing our data on graphs.

Last Week of Camp Read S'More

This week is the last week of Reading Month. We will wrap up the month with a celebration  on Friday, April 1st. We will have a camping movie in the afternoon. It will be pajama day! And we will share a special trail mix for a snack. If you are able, please consider sending in something to add to our trail mix, such as chocolate chips, teddy grahams, mini-marshmallows, cereal, etc. Thanks!

Reminders for the week of March 14-18, 2016

~ Wednesday is Read with a Stuffed Animal day
~Thursday is St. Patrick's Day. We will have an Irish Dance assembly. Wear "camping" green (or any green you want!)
~Friday is Donuts with Dad. If you did not send in your reservation sheet, make sure you send it in right away or call Mary Beth Hill in the elementary office at 825-2021. We need to make sure we have enough donuts for everyone who attends! The event will take place in the elementary cafeteria before school.
~Friday is also Mismatch Day. Wear mismatched clothing!

March is Reading Month!

READING MONTH: 

March is Reading Month and the theme this year is Camping—Camp Read S’more.  There are fun activities and dress-up days planned throughout the month.  Please send in—a small stuffed animal for your child to keep in their locker for the month, as well as a small flashlight for them to keep in their book boxes.

We will kick off the month on Tuesday, March 1 with some fun camping activities! Wednesday, March 2 is Read with a Stuffed Animal Day!

Friday, March 4 is Dress Up for Camping day!
